This month in Sony: November

The month of November is busy for Sony.  Sony kicked off the month with the launch of the PlayStation 4.

Fans loyal to Sony are eager to purchase the next gen console. The gaming console released on the 15th generated buzz around the internet. Fans tweeted and posted messages on Facebook showing support of the console launch.  The midnight launch went smoothly with buyers feeling happy and eager to play the PS4. In the coming weeks, Sony is planning to launch their Music unlimited service to the PS4 via the Sony PlayStation Network.  Music lovers will be able to listen to their favorite songs as they did on the PS3.

In addition to the launch of the PlayStation 4, games for PS4 and PS3 were released this month. NBA Live 14 released on PSN for the PS4   appealing to the sports enthusiasts.   Another game, Killzone Shadow Fall released on the same day of the PS4 launch. This game had much anticipation for its release from fans of the Killzone franchise. The game will not disappoint as it features a strong single player mode and a fun multiplayer.  Besides the PS4 games, an expansion pack to The Last of US was released for the PS3 via PSN. The pack features hours of new gameplay and costumes.

I’m very pleased with what Sony has been doing within the past month.  Sony never sees to amaze me how informative they are with their posts.  I’m looking forward to what Sony is offering during the holiday season.

This Month in Sony: October

The Sony Entertainment blog showcased this month a ton of stuff pertaining to movie trailers, music, and releases of games into the PlayStation network. The music showcased on the blog was the remembrance of Lou Reed who made contributions in Rock music. Also, Sony introduced the launch of the Music Limited that helps you manage your music on the Sony Entertainment Network and is similar to ITunes. It can do the same things like ITunes being that it is compatible with all electronic devices. However it has the advantage of an easier user interfaces when it comes to managing devices. The movie Trailers featured were for Anchorman 2, and Non-stop which plan to be released sometime later this year. The only game featured worth noting was the Lego Marvel Superheroes.

The appeal of Music Limited presents itself as an alternative to ITunes for people that are sick of incompatibility issues experienced sometime when using an apple product. Music Limited has a definite niche for those not using ITunes. Fans of Lou Reed will definitively appreciate the short memoriam on the blog as Sony plan release some of his works on the network as token of appreciation for fan that have support the artist over the years. Anchorman 2 and Non – Stop are movies that people are waiting to see as they both feature A-list actors being Liam Neeson and Will Ferrell. The Lego Marvel game will be enjoyed by comic fans and kids alike as it combine two things that people enjoy.  The blog as always is well formatted and can be easily read for the viewer. Sony is doing a good job in connecting with their audience through this blog.

This week on Sony 1

I checked out the Sony blog just recently and saw the post about the top tv shows that are nominated for the Emmy's. The most highly rated show that will most likely win an award based on the list is most likely Breaking Bad. The 2nd show that will likely win is the Netflix produced House of Cards. Other shows were mention but these two were are the most anticipated to win it. Another post  I checked was the release of the most recent games to be on the Playstation Network. The post mentioned the release of Hot Wheels Best World Drivers and Need for Speed Rivals. These we games will be a good addition to the game library on the PSN. Hot wheels being added to the library can get the young children to play on the PSN since there are not many games catered towards young children on the network. Need for Speed Rivals is especially highly rated because the gameplay keeps the user hooked on for hours as it is very fun to play by yourself or amongst friends. The two posts were very interesting and worth a reading. They are informative in that it allows to know the most important of what is happening whether if its with gaming or television. I would recommend that everyone should at least check out the Sony blog.  I'll bring an update on the next post on the lasted from the Sony Blog.
